Scope and contact

This policy covers the PaddleDay app, this website and support communications. PaddleDay helps people discover paddle launch points and understand weather and marine forecasts. Location and maps

With your permission, the app accesses location to show nearby spots and support location-based features. You can also select a location manually. Map and forecast information is requested to display relevant spots and conditions. When you submit a spot, the coordinates and access details you provide are sent to our service. Change location permission in your device settings.

Preferences and local storage

Your activity, equipment, experience, onboarding choices, favorites and cached spot information are stored on your device to personalize guidance and reload retrieved information. Deleting the app removes local app data, subject to operating-system and backup behavior. It does not automatically delete submissions already sent to our service.

Identifiers and community content

The app uses a device or app-generated identifier for relevant service interactions. Although you do not need to enter a name or email to generate it, an identifier can still be personal information. Condition reports and spot suggestions may include the information you enter and relevant location, time and identifier information. Submissions may be reviewed and displayed to other users. Do not include sensitive personal information or private contact details in community content.

Purchases and subscriptions

Apple processes purchases and billing. RevenueCat helps retrieve subscription offerings and determine access. Purchase, transaction and entitlement records and app-related identifiers may be processed for these purposes. We do not receive payment card details. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription; manage renewal in your App Store account settings.

Analytics, diagnostics and configuration

The app integrates Firebase analytics, crash reporting and remote configuration. These services may process app events, technical device information, identifiers, errors and performance information to operate the app, configure features and diagnose problems. Provider processing depends on the active configuration and is also subject to provider policies.

Website and support communications

This website hosts its own fonts and images and does not include a website analytics script or advertising pixel. Hosting infrastructure may process ordinary request information such as IP address, requested path, browser information and time to serve and protect the site and troubleshoot problems. External links open separate services. Emailing support provides your email address and any message, attachments and diagnostic details you choose to send. Do not send passwords or payment card details.

Use and sharing

Information is used to provide spot and forecast features, personalize guidance, manage subscription access, review community submissions, respond to support and maintain reliability. Hosting, map, forecast, analytics, crash-reporting and subscription providers may process information needed for their services. Community content is shared through relevant app features. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or necessary to address abuse and protect the service. We do not sell personal information.

Providers and international processing

Providers may operate infrastructure outside your country. Such processing is governed by applicable protections and provider terms. Provider privacy information: Apple at apple.com/legal/privacy, Firebase at firebase.google.com/support/privacy, RevenueCat at revenuecat.com/privacy. We do not claim that all information is stored exclusively in Türkiye.

Retention and security

Local preferences remain until changed or removed. Community, support, purchase and service records may remain as needed for the relevant feature, troubleshooting, legal obligations and dispute resolution. Retention varies by record and provider; there is no single promised deletion period for every category. Access controls and encrypted connections where supported help protect information. No service can guarantee absolute security.

Choices and privacy requests

Change location permissions, update preferences, remove locally saved items and manage subscriptions through Apple. Contact duhan@paddleday.online for access, correction, deletion or other requests available under applicable law. Include enough information to identify the relevant record without unnecessary sensitive information. Proportionate verification may be required. Some records may need to be retained for service or legal reasons.

Children

PaddleDay is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted personal information so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date on this page identifies the latest published version. Contact us with questions about information handling.
